{"id":9391,"date":"2026-08-04T15:49:30","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T15:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jarinternacional.org\/guatemala-brings-together-more-than-280-young-people-at-the-14th-enjar\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T15:49:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T15:49:30","slug":"guatemala-brings-together-more-than-280-young-people-at-the-14th-enjar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jarinternacional.org\/en\/guatemala-brings-together-more-than-280-young-people-at-the-14th-enjar\/","title":{"rendered":"Guatemala brings together more than 280 young people at the 14th ENJAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 280 young people from six JAR centers took part in the 14th National Encounter of Augustinian Recollect Youth in Quetzaltenango, under the motto &#8220;Lit by the truth and sent to love.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h1>Guatemala brings together more than 280 young people at the 14th National JAR Encounter<\/h1>\n<p><strong>More than 280 young people from six Augustinian Recollect Youth (JAR) centers in Guatemala gathered on August 1 and 2 in Quetzaltenango to celebrate the 14th National Encounter, an experience of fraternity, formation, and missionary sending inspired by the motto &#8220;Lit by the truth and sent to love.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Holy Family<\/strong> parish in Quetzaltenango hosted this fourteenth edition of the National Encounter of Augustinian Recollect Youth, which brought together young people from different parts of the country with the desire to strengthen bonds of fraternity and renew their commitment to the Augustinian Recollect charism.<\/p>\n<p>Delegations took part from the <strong>San Nicol\u00e1s de Tolentino Parish<\/strong> (Mixco), the <strong>Santa Mar\u00eda Goretti Parish<\/strong> (Guatemala City), the <strong>Agustiniano School<\/strong>, the <strong>San Judas Tadeo Educational Center<\/strong>, the <strong>Blessed Encarnaci\u00f3n Rosal Parish<\/strong> (San Miguel Petapa), the <strong>San Miguel Arc\u00e1ngel Parish<\/strong> (Totonicap\u00e1n), and the host community in Quetzaltenango.<\/p>\n<p>The encounter was accompanied by <strong>Friar Pedro Marte, OAR<\/strong>, <strong>Friar Daniel Racancoj, OAR<\/strong>, and <strong>Sister Irma Bulux, MAR<\/strong>, who encouraged the young people throughout a weekend especially anticipated by the country\u2019s JAR communities.<br \/>\n<!-- Carrusel ReCORDIS (iframe, compatible con WordPress) --><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; max-width: 640px; width: 100%; margin: 0 auto; display: block; border-radius: 6px; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/recordis.recoletos.org\/embed\/N76ID1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"640\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; margin-top: 10px; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13px;\"><a style=\"color: #c8102e;\" href=\"https:\/\/recordis.recoletos.org\/gallery\/N76ID1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">View full gallery \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Lit by the truth and sent to love<\/h2>\n<p>Under the motto <strong>&#8220;Lit by the truth and sent to love&#8221;<\/strong>, in tune with the <strong>Missionary Year<\/strong> being lived by the Augustinian Recollect Family, participants reflected on the call to be missionary disciples in today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the different activities, the young people went deeper into the idea that mission does not seek to settle the Christian into comfort, but to stir their heart to go out to meet others, share the proclamation of the Gospel, and respond to the different realities society is experiencing with the witness of a consistent life.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a space dedicated to <strong>digital evangelization<\/strong>, where they reflected on the responsible use of social media and new technologies. Participants discovered that the digital environment can become a true place of mission, from which to proclaim Christ with creativity, authenticity, and hope. <\/p>\n<h2>A weekend of prayer, joy, and fraternity<\/h2>\n<p>The program combined moments of spirituality, formation, and community life.
